The Apollo Theater, one of America’s popular entertainment centres was the home of Ghanaian hiplife music over the weekend.
About 1,500 music lovers trooped the venue last Saturday to be a part of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie’s #SarkodieHistoryInTheMaking concert.
The event witnessed world class performances from the host, Sarkodie and several other musicians from Ghana and Nigeria.
The list of acts who joined Sarkodie on the night included Kwaw Kese, Banky W, Bisa Kdei and EL.
Disappointingly, Efya, Samini, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Ice Prince, Obrafour couldn’t make it for the concert due to issues ranging from travel documents and schedules.
The #SarkodieHistoryInTheMaking concert was hosted by Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo.
