Management committee chairman of the National U-17 team Kweku Eyiah is confident the Black Starlets will earn a positive result in the second leg against Ivory Coast to qualify for the African U-17 Championship.
The Starlets were not at their very best but managed to post a 3-1 victory over Ivory Coast in the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Paa Kwesi Fabin’s charges opened their scoring through skipper Eric Eyiah which later inspired two more goals from the Starlets.
But the Ivorians fought hard and were rewarded with an away goal which could be very crucial in the return leg.
“It’s not a question of being under pressure, these are young boys and need to have been in Burkina Faso to have seen what transpired “ He told Joy Sports
“The most important thing is that lets syc them up for the game . they were down hearted after the final whistle because they realized that they could have scored more”.
“Its simply because they have scored 5-1 that people believe that they should be scoring more, but it doesn’t work that way”.
“Everything is in the will of God we will qualify”.
