Juventus have announced that, star midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has undergone a successful surgery and his expected to return to action in 45 days.
Asamoah was declared injured after test revealed he sprained his knee in Juventus 1-0 win over Palermo last Saturday.
The Ghanaian international was brought on in the second half by coach Allegri to ensure that his side secured full points, only to end the game with yet another setback.
“Kwadwo Asamoah today underwent successful meniscectomy surgery on his right knee,” the Bianconeri confirmed on their official website.
“The operation was conducted by Professor Cugat in Barcelona in the presence of Juventus club doctor Claudio Rigo.
“The midfielder will begin his rehabilitation programme immediately and the timeframe for his return to action remains the same as originally estimated, namely around 45 days.”
It's been hellish and nightmarish for a player who just returned from a long-injury lay-off.
Asamoah sat out of the 2015/16 season and appeared to have overcome the setback after excelling heavily for his side since the start of the season.
His latest injury makes it eight in the last three years.
