Manchester United have agreed a fee with Everton for the transfer of Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku subject to medical and personal terms, the Premier League giants said on Saturday.
"#MUFC is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms," the club said on its Twitter feed.
United's announcement comes just hours after it was widely reported that Chelsea had also lodged a bid for the Belgian forward.

The fee for the 24-year-old is reported to be around £75 million, making him the club's second most expensive signing after last year's world-record deal for French midfielder Paul Pogba.
The BBC report that the deal includes a further £15 million in add ons.
United are ultimately seeking a long-term replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the Swede released on July 1 after suffering an cruciate ligament injury which is expected to keep him out until 2018.
Lukaku netted 25 Premier League goals last season for Everton, a tally only bettered by Tottenham's Harry Kane, who scored 29 times.
United are due to fly to California on Sunday to start their pre-season tour against the Los Angeles Galaxy the following weekend and Lukaku, who has been on holiday on the west coast of America, is staying in the United States for the time being.
Lukaku has been holidaying with close friend and Pogba and early on Friday morning the Red Devils' £89million world-record signing posted an Instagram story of the pair training together in Los Angeles.
The striker, who has also scored 20 goals for Belgium, rejected a new contract at Everton in March and will reunite with United manager Jose Mourinho, under whom he served at Chelsea.
