A teenage cadet from Ghana who was on an air cadet exchange programme in Lincolnshire has gone missing. Blessing Boakye (19) had joined 20 international air cadets for a ten-day cultural exchange programme at RAF Digby. But she disappeared the day before she was due to fly home - and her fellow cadets have now left without her. The teen, who joined cadets from Ghana, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Israel and the United States on the trip, was last seen at the gates of RAF Digby. She met an older woman outside the base, whom she greeted warmly, before the pair turned right and departed on foot - taking all of Ms Boakye’s belongings with them. Now police are hoping to trace the girl, who is believed to have relatives in Reading, to ensure she is safe and well. Ms Boakye, who disappeared at 2pm on Monday, July 30, was thought to be spending the day with her family. But fears arose after she failed to return to the base at the designated time of 5pm. She is described as black, about five foot six, with a slim build and also has braids in her hair. It is not known what she was wearing at the time she disappeared. The woman who met Ms Blessing is described as being black, in her mid 30s and about five foot eight. She has long black hair. Lincoln CID's Detective Inspector David Wood said: "We're appealing for Blessing to get in touch to let us know she is safe and well.
