Kevin-Prince Boateng has reached an agreement with Las Palmas to terminate his contract after a successful debut season in the Spanish La Liga.
The Ghanaian, who joined in 2016 as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at AC Milan, will seek a new adventure elsewhere after agreeing to end his stay at Las Palmas.
The club confirmed on their website ‘’Prince Boateng says farewell this afternoon to UD Las Palmas in a press conference. UD Las Palmas has understood the plight of the footballer (Kevin-Prince Boateng), since for the entity all the players who are part of the yellow squad are before people who are professionals.
The Club thanks him for his professionalism during the season that he has defended the yellow jersey, and above all, for the gesture he had when signing for our team when he handled economically more favorable options, other important clubs in Europe.
On May 17, 2017, Boateng expanded his relationship with UD Las Palmas for three more seasons. Nevertheless, the personal situation of the player, of irreversible character, has precipitated its march.’’
Boateng will continue his sporting career in a destination that allows him to be close to his family. The UD Las Palmas wishes you the greatest success, both sports and personal, and will always be grateful for the excellent season that made wearing yellow and for the affection that always aroused among fans.’’
Kevin leaves the club having become an integral part of the squad. He finished as top scorer last season, scoring 10 goals in 28 games.
