Hearts of Oak are on course to tie down in-from attacker Thomas Abbey with a new improved deal.
Abbey’s current contract runs in the coming days and Hearts are desperate to keep their talisman amid reports of interest from rivals Asante Kotoko.
The capital-based club have offered their skipper a two-year contract extension, worth $18,000(80,000 cedis) according to Ghanacrusader.com report.
“The club will be offering Thomas Abbey a two-year deal, talks between the parties have reached far,” a source close to the club told Ghanacrusader.com.
“Abbey has declared his intention to sign a new deal so the fans shouldn’t panic.”
Abbey is in the form of his life. He currently leads the goal king chart in the ongoing Ghana Premier League with 12 goals and 3 three assists.
His exploits have seen him been described as a ‘’god’’ by teammate Samudeen Ibrahim.
