Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall is pleased with his team’s performance after clinching three points in the derby against their hometown rivals Great Olympics.
The Phobians beat the struggling Olympics 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
“My general impression of the game is coming into the game we knew it was going to be difficult because we haven’t had a competitive game for three weeks.
“And Olympics are obviously fighting for survival in the league, and it’s a derby so we knew it’s going to be a tough game. Every game is a tough game anyway. We did have some chances in the first half that could have possibly put the game to bed straight away. But I’m pleased to get the three points.”
Olympics, now second from bottom with 26 points, broke the deadlock with Hearts’ Patrick Razak getting the equalizer before halftime. In-form striker Kwame Kizito gave the Phobians the winner in the 56th minute, keeping them in the title race.
Hearts are three points behind league leaders, Aduana Stars. The two sides face-off on Wednesday.
