American rapper Jonathan Smith, better known on stage as Lil Jon, has call for the creation of conducive atmosphere for children at the kindergarten and basic level in the African educational system.
According to the rapper, children learn a lot from kindergarten and the basic level hence exposing them to unfavourable atmosphere will affect their upbringing and mental development.

Lil Jon made the disclosure when he commissioned a three-unit classroom block with office facilities and a washroom for the Abomayaw community in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern Region.
The children at Abomayaw community kindergarten were studying under a shed and had to close school anytime the clouds gather.

Lil Jon commissioned the classroom block with his wife, Nicole Smith and son Nathan in honour of his late mother, Carrie M Smith.
He said October is the birth month of his late mother hence decided to help construct the classroom block to honour his late mother.

The project was 80 percent funded by Lil Jon through the Pencils of Hope, an NGO, and 20 percent by the community.
The rapper called on all to help create a conducive atmosphere for children in deprive communities in order to make them great leaders of tomorrow.
He spoke with JoyNews’ Maxwell Kudekor after the commissioning.
Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, who sponsored the 20 percent funding for the community, indicated that, the major challenge in the area is infrastructure deficit in kindergarten blocks.
He was optimistic that, the completion of the school block will help increase attendance in the community.
