Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has chosen Manchester City over rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea ahead of a possible January move.
The 25-year-old has been one of the most sought-after players after a sizzling start to the English Premier League with eight goals and three assists – the third top scorer in England’s top-flight.
The Bournemouth man has a £65m release clause available until Jan 10.
After discussions with defending champions Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, Semenyo has favoured a move to the Etihad Stadium.
It is understood City and Bournemouth will hold direct talks to reach agreement for the attacker.
Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said: "Antoine Semenyo right now is with us.
“He's playing very well. My concern is that it doesn't affect him. He's played very well, he's committed to the team and I hope we can keep him. There are things happening out of our control.”
