Charles Yeboah, a native of Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region is currently seeking divine intervention to render powerless some curses which his friend who had been experiencing a series of thefts from traps recently invoked on all such thieves. The victim, Adoma Fokuoh, 35, a farmer was said to have bought schnapps and eggs stood at the centre of his house in the afternoon of August 11, this year and invoked the curse in the full glare of all tenants. At the time the curses were invoked, Yeboah was said to be busily preparing a fresh game he had brought from the bush, but he instantly stopped and packed everything into his room. The following day when Adoma visited the trap, he saw a game that had its head almost severed and some feathers removed from parts of its body. He however did not say anything but removed it and came to use it for a meal.According to some tenants, both Yeboah and Adoma live in the same house and they are close friends. For a long time, Adoma had been complaining about thefts from his traps and Yeboah often helped him to search around for the culprits but they never found any of them.Early this month, a friend of Adoma hinted him that it was Yeboah who always stole from his traps.According to the informant, Yeboah prepared the game and sold it to some chop bar operators in the vicinity.Adoma, however, did not believe it and therefore decided not to question Yeboah about the issue. But on August 11, this year, Adoma visited the traps again and found out that his catch had been removed and therefore rushed back home.He was shocked to meet Yeboah preparing a fresh game and therefore went out to buy the schnapps and eggs. He performed a ritual in which he called on all the gods to intervene.Yeboah was said to immediately stopped the preparation of the game and entered his room. The following day when Adoma visited the traps, the same game that Yeboah was preparing was back in the trap. The incident has since that fateful day become the talk of town and Yeboah is said to be seeking divine intervention.Source: Graphic Nsempa
