Private Legal Practitioner, Ace Anan Ankomah has called out Parliament’s Finance Committee for deciding to hold its probe into the banking crisis in camera.
The OccupyGhana leading member said Ghanaians should mount pressure on Parliament to make the probe a public one considering the importance of the issue.
“I am scandalised that any Member of Parliament would dare suggest to the people of Ghana that the enquiry into this issue should be held in camera…can the people of Ghana tell Parliament that if you dare touch this matter, we want a live TV coverage,” Mr Ankomah said.
Speaking at a public forum organised by the Danquah Institute on the banking crisis, Mr Ankomah noted a public probe would prevent any cover up.
