President John Mahama has challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to pinpoint to Ghanaians a single project they executed in the Upper West Region during their eight year rule.According to the President, it is so clear that the region was relegated to the background during the Kufuor administration.Addressing a rally in Wa Monday, President Mahama said the first NDC government kept faith with the region, if for nothing at all conceiving it and giving birth to it.He told the people his government will fulfill every single promise they have made to the region including the construction of their regional hospital. He noted that the delay in the construction of the Wa regional hospital is a result of the project financier, an Egyptian, who run into challenges during the Arab Spring. He added new financiers have been sought for the project and work is expected to start in earnest.President John Mahama also dismissed corruption allegations leveled against him by the opposition. He advised Ghanaians to disregard such claims since they are only meant to tarnish his image.
