Global electronics giant, Samsung, has reaffirmed its position as the market leader in innovative technological devices, with the introduction of the Galaxy Camera onto the Ghanaian marketplace.
Tagged ‘connected camera begins’ and largely hailed as the rebirth of the traditional camera, the professional camera combines the features of a smart phone with high performance photography using the latest Android™ 4.1 Jelly Bean platform, and a choice of a 3G, 4G or wireless connectivity.
A statement issued by the company in Ghana says users of the camera can send and receive emails on the device.
The camera comes with exciting features like a Sim card slot and a Smart Pro’ technology, which allows users to choose from a series of preset scenario options that automatically adjusts the camera’s settings in order to capture the perfect photo.
The super versatile device allows users also to shoot and share high quality photographs and video spontaneously from anywhere and anytime using the easy-to-navigate menu system that gives stunning clarity, and allows them to edit and share their photos instantly sacrificing picture quality.
Business Head for Hand Held Products at Samsung Jaspreet Singh, notes that “Our customers are at the heart of the design of the Samsung Galaxy camera; we know that our customers love to capture high quality memorable, historic and fun moments they have every day, and be able to share them instantly with loved ones; that is why this device comes with fun features such as the ‘Smart Content Manager’, an innovative on-device organization tool which intelligently creates folders, tags faces, and even suggests which pictures to delete when they don’t come out as desired.”
“It also features a comprehensive set of 35 powerful photo editing features through the ‘Photo Wizard’ and Movie Wizard’, which allows users to make professional quality edits on the go, in addition to creating and editing expert-quality videos easily with the touch screen. Once the images have been taken, the convenient ‘Auto Upload’ feature automatically saves and stores precious photos into the cloud via Samsung’s ‘AllShare’ tool. The ‘Share Shot’ feature also allows images to be shared instantly with users able to share photos at the same time they shoot.
He continued that “evidently, the Samsung Galaxy camera has broken frontiers in photography; like all our other hand-held devices, this will complement and enrich the lively lifestyles and tastes of our customers.

The GALAXY Camera boasts a large and vivid camera display - a 4.8” (121.2mm) HD Super Clear LCD screen; allows perfect picture-taking with a 21x super long zoom lens and a super-bright 16M BSI CMOS sensor, and is supported by a quad-core processor that enables fast web-browsing and multi-tasking, as well as high-speed image processing without a significant impact on battery life.
