As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Access Bank’s Digital Banking team has introduced a flagship project dubbed “See and Smile”. This is aimed at promoting vision and oral health among children.
The project, themed “Promoting Clear Vision and Oral Health in Children,” will provide free screening and treatment for 800 students across selected schools in Ghana.
Speaking to Joy Business, Head of Access Bank’s Digital Banking Payments, Ujunwa Roseline Mbaeri, emphasized that the Bank’s commitment extends beyond financial services to supporting the overall well-being of children.

According to her, “with good oral health, they will be confident to speak out there. This project is for us to help the children that might have high vision issue or oral issue without the parent noticing it.”
She added that, the team is set to begin screening promptly.
“We are going out there to the school to do the screening and any detected or affected children, we are considering treating them and doing the follow-up. Our target is 800 children and screening commence on the 2nd and 3rd of October,” he added.

The initiative is being rolled out in collaboration with the Ghana Dental Association and Kountry Eyecare, both of which expressed excitement about working with Access Bank to deliver lasting social impact.
According to the partners, early detection and treatment of vision and oral health challenges play a crucial role in children’s academic performance and quality of life.
The See and Smile project underscores Access Bank’s dedication to community development by addressing essential health needs and helping to secure brighter, healthier futures for Ghanaian children.
