The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) proudly held its 21st Graduation Ceremony and welcomed the Class of 2025 during a vibrant matriculation and graduation event on August 23, 2025, at the ATTC/PIWC Hall in Kokomlemle. This year marked a significant milestone as AIT continues to fulfill its mission of providing high-quality education in a technology-focused environment.

In his matriculation address, Professor Clement K. Dzidonu, President of AIT, warmly welcomed the 1,094 new students, emphasizing the importance of their journey as they become part of the AIT family. He congratulated them on their admission and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities available to develop both academically and personally. “Today marks not just the beginning of your education but your official admission into a vibrant community dedicated to innovation and excellence,” stated Professor Dzidonu.

During the graduation ceremony, a total of 505 students graduated across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master's degrees, and Bachelor's degrees.

The ceremony featured inspiring speeches from distinguished members of the AIT Board of Trustees, including Emeritus Prof. Ivan Addae-Mensah, whose message was read on his behalf by the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana and a member of the AIT Board of Trustees, Professor Emeritus Clifford Nii Boi Tagoe, who acknowledged the faculty's dedication and the institution's commitment to academic excellence.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the graduation of PhDs for the 13th time, bringing the total number of PhD graduates at AIT to over 80. Remarkably, the majority of these graduates have achieved professorial ranks within three years of graduation, underscoring AIT's commitment to fostering research and innovation.

Looking forward, AIT aims to continue its collaborative efforts with leading universities worldwide, enhancing its academic programs and research initiatives. The institute remains dedicated to nurturing future leaders equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing global environment.
