Popular Ghanaian actress Mercy Little Smith, widely known for her role as Benyiwaa in the popular TV show, Efiewura has died.
She passed away on December 17, 2024, with the news confirmed via the official Efiewura Facebook page on December 18.
The post shared by the show’s official page read: “RIP Benyiwaa. She left the Earth plane yesterday. Bye.”
The cause of her death has not been revealed.
Mercy Little Smith was best known for her portrayal of Benyiwaa, a character celebrated for her larger-than-life personality, and as the wife of Lawyer Kabou from the “Apoto Ayewa” chambers.
Her performance in Efiewura won her a special place in the hearts of viewers, making her an iconic figure in Ghanaian television.
