It’s a good time for Nollywood actress Nkiru Sylvanus who was recently named Director General of the proposed Imo State Film Academy.
Sylvanus, who recently premiered her movie, The Voice, is expected to put her years of experience on and off movie sets to use in structuring the academy when it finally opens.
This is Sylvanus’ third political appointment in three years, after she joined the cabinet of Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha in 2011 as his Special Assistant on Lagos State Affairs, and later became his Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
