The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) says the Principal’s sudden resignation has thrown the entire campus into distress, prompting a passionate plea to the Moderator, Right Reverend Dr Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, to step in and convince her to stay.
SRC Secretary, Alice Gyamfua, who spoke to Joy News on behalf of the student body, said the development has created anxiety among students and staff who fear the leadership gap her departure could create.
She described the Principal’s tenure as transformative, adding that her exit would derail ongoing progress at the college.
“Our entire community is shaken,” she said. “We respectfully appeal to your revered office to kindly engage our mother and leader and encourage her to reconsider this resignation. Her continued presence is essential for the welfare, continuity, and growth of our beloved institution.”
In the petition addressed to the Moderator, the SRC highlighted what they called the Principal’s exceptional record—improved academic performance, strengthened administration, enhanced discipline, and restored unity on campus.
They insist that losing her now would amount to a “devastating setback” for the college.
The students also praised the Moderator for his leadership of the church’s educational institutions and expressed confidence in his ability to mediate the situation.
They believe his intervention could persuade Rev. Dr Adasi to rescind her decision.
The college community is now awaiting the Moderator’s response, with students hopeful that the Principal—widely admired across campus—will remain to continue guiding the institution toward greater stability and growth
