Controversial hiplife musician Akoo Nana stunned thousands of patrons who thronged the Accra Sports Stadium Friday night for the Tigo Music Unplugged by appearing on stage with bare-breasted dancers.
The musician, born William Ankrah, was among a number of acts who performed at the concert.
He emerged on stage backed by three female dancers who wore no tops or bras and had only pieces of cloth covering their underparts.
The dancers’ nudity instantly caught the attention of the over 20,000 patrons who had filled a fourth of the Accra Sports Stadium.
The half nude dancers were greeted with wild cheers from an elated crowd.
Many of the music lovers jostled for space to capture the dancers with their mobile phones.
This is the first time a hiplife musician in the country has publicly appeared on stage with bare-breasted dancers.
But this will not be the first time the controversial musician is incorporating bare-breasted dancers into his act.
Last year, he released a video for his song, Kachina which had bare-breasted dancers in it. That video received a huge flak from critics who said he had gone too far.
Apart from Akoo Nana, the concert, which was used to launch telecommunication company Tigo’s Dezeer music application also witnessed exciting performances from some of Ghana and Nigeria's biggest music acts.
Other artistes who performed at the concert included Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Davido, MzVee, and 4x4.
