President Akufo-Addo has appointed a Deputy General Secretary of Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) as the Deputy CEO for National Youth Authority.
Bright Acheampong will be in charge of Operations and Programmes at the National Youth Authority.
He was the special assistant to the acting General Secretary John Boadu.
The former student activist has dedicated himself to mapping out political strategy and is counted among the party's brightest talents in effective implementation and organisation.
The National Youth Authority is expected to benefit from Bright Acheampong's extensive knowledge of the country's youth having toured every district in Ghana.
The former student activist is also a pioneering member of the University of Ghana Parliament House.
The National Youth Authority (NYA) formally National Youth Council (NYC) is a statutory body established by the Government of Ghana in 1974 by NRCD 241 to co-ordinate and facilitate youth development activities in the country
The Authority with a GHC2million 2012 funding works with the National Service Secretariat and the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency to ensure the development of the country's youth.
