Organizers of the maiden Stand UP GH concert scheduled for May 26 at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre say all is about set for event that promises an unforgettable night.
To be headlined by sexy American songstress Keri Hilson and her compatriot Bow Wow, this will be the two artistes’ first ever performance in Ghana.
The concert is put together by Imajin Advertising, who also organizes the Legends and Legacy Ball, an annual event aimed at celebrating and honouring music legends. The maiden edition of that event celebrated and awarded the legendary Charles Kojo Fosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
The success of that concert has definitely inspired the young company to greater heights and give more to its Ghanaian audience.
The management of Imajin Advertising addressed the press in Accra and assured that, they are fully equipped and ready to give music lovers a concert that will linger on for generations to come.
The press conference was addressed by Mr. Arnold Kojo Asante, CEO of Imajin; Kwame Karikari, General Manager; Mrs. Boakyewaah Appiah, Managing Director; Kojo Rana, Events Manager and Upper Junior, Productions Manager.
They said they have learnt from similar concerts staged in Ghana over the years and promised to change the dynamics of concert organization in the country to give fans a treat worthy of their money. That also informed the choice of Keri Hilson and Bow Wow.
Keri Hilson, singer, songwriter and an actress, holds a perfect blend of classiness which is very appealing to both male and female audience. She has dazzled the world, since the release of her maiden album, In a Perfect World in 2009, with hit after hit.
Some of her well-known tunes that will definitely reverberate on the night include Knock You Down, Turning Me On, Energy and the smash hit Pretty Girl Rock.
Bow Wow, born Shad Gregory Moss, is no new customer to good music. He hit the limelight at an early age of 13 with the career name, Lil Bow Wow. Some of his early hits include Bounce with Me, Bow Wow (That’s My Name), Thank You and Take Ya Home.
Now a very refined artiste Bow Wow has upped his game over the years. He has hit music charts with tunes such as Let Me Hold You, Like You, Shortie Like Mine and Outta My System.
The Stand UP GH will not only be about Keri Hilson and Bow Wow, other seasoned Ghanaian acts, including Buk Bak, Guru, Rana, Kwaw Kese, Kaaki, Edem and Chemphe, will also be performing on the night.
