Ama Sumani, the cancer patient who died Wednesday March 19, 2008 has been buried today Saturday April 26, 2008 at Wenchi, in the Brong Ahafo region.Ama Sumani who was terminally ill was deported early January 2008, from the UK where she has been for five years. 39-year-old Ms. Sumani whose visa had expired while in the UK was removed from a Cardiff hospital where she was receiving dialysis treatment for a year after cancer damaged her kidneys.When she returned to Ghana, she was receiving dialysis treatment at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after some Ghanaians and her friends in the UK, were able to raise some money to pay for her treatment at the hospital.Ama died while she was being treated at the Korle-bu teaching Hospital.Ama who was a widow, left behind two children.
