Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has been nominated among the four players for the French Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.
The French professional footballer’s union (UNFP) announced the shortlist on Wednesday after the Ghanaian’s exploits with Marseille.
PSG’s Mamadou Sakho, Sochaux’s Marvin Martin and Rennes’ Yann M’Vila are the other three players nominated for the prestigious award that has been won by Eden Hazard in the last two years.
The awards ceremony is to be held on May 22 where Lisandro Lopez’ successor for Ligue 1 Player of the Year will be announced, along with the trophy for the brightest talent.

Moussa Sow completes a double nomination for Lille players while Lorient’s Kevin Gameiro and Paris Saint-Germain’s Nene complete the shortlist.
Sow and Gameiro lead the Ligue 1 goalscoring charts, netting 21 and 20 goals respectively while Hazard and Nene have lit up the league with their breathtaking displays.
