The Ashanti Regional Police have declared 19 notorious robbers wanted as it steps up efforts to find antidote to series of robberies that have rocked Kumasi in the past two months.
The police are asking the suspects to either turn themselves in at a police station or face the wrath of the command.
The warning comes as the police arrest ten robbers including a woman described as a financier of the robbers at various locations within the region.
A dismissed policeman and an ex-convict are among those who are being pursued by the police, Nhyira FM's Ohemeng Tawia reported.
The Deputy Ashanti Regional Police Commander ACP Ampofo Duku who was addressing a press conference said the syndicate normally lay ambush in front of the houses of the victims and attack them in their houses.
"If you look at the trend, all the times, [they strike around] around 7:30 pm, that is the modus they are now using.
"...It is believed that syndicated armed robbers numbering about four groups are perpetrating these heinous crimes within the metropolis and its environs.
"We have these groups. Group One [comprises] Bona and killer [who] are both at large..."
"We are declaring them wanted after this exercise," he said.
One of the victims of the attacks by these armed robbers was an official with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
Mr Joseph Baah Twneboah was shot dead in the presence of his wife and children at Abuotem in the Ashanti Region.
He was followed into the house by the robbers who then shot him and made away with some belongings.
