Barcelona has signed Spanish international Jordi Alba from Valencia.
A statement by the Catalan club Thursday says that Alba will sign a five-year contract after a medical exam.
Barcelona will pay its Spanish league rival C14 million ($17.4 million) for the left back.
Alba is currently playing in the European Championships, where Spain defeated Portugal on Wednesday to reach the final.
Spain will play the winner of Thursday's semifinal match between Italy and Germany.
