The two-day biometric voter registration mop up exercise ends later Sunday with no controversy thus far.
Acting Public Affairs Director at the Electoral Commission Christian Owusu Parry has described the process as “smooth”.
He told Joy News the number of people gone through the process has been encouraging.
The two-day exercise is to enable eligible voters who through no fault of theirs could not participate in the recent biometric registration exercise an opportunity to do so.
It is ongoing in 187 centres across the country with the exception of the Central and Brong Ahafo regions.
Parry explained after the exercise later today, the EC will be preparing to print the provisional voters register for exhibition in August.
He said the Commission is at moment hearing challenge cases against some prospective voters whose right to register and vote have been questioned by political party agents.
He stated the Commission is also getting rid of multiple registration and taking the necessary legal action against such culprits where necessary.
