Ghana international Terry Yegbe is the subject of interest from four European clubs ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season.
Birmingham City, Cologne, Hellas Verona and Empoli are exploring their chances of signing the centre-back for the new season.
Yegbe, who is currently with IF Elfsborg, could move from the club in the summer transfer window with the Championship side stepping up their efforts for his services.
The 24-year-old has been an impressive figure at the back for the Swedish side since his arrival in February 2024.
In his maiden season with the club, he featured in 22 league appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He also has one goal and one assist in to his name in 16 league appearances this season.
However, the central defender's time at the club could be set for an end as he continues to draw interest from several clubs.
Birmingham are reported to be the closest side in the race with Elfsborg hoping to earn 6 million euros from his sale.
Yegbe has also featured once for the senior national team the Black Stars, featuring in the defeat to Angola at the Accra Sports Stadium last November.
