Information reaching Asempa Sports indicates that skipper of the Black Stars, John Mensah has been ruled out of the Black Stars' double header with Swaziland and Brazil on the 2nd and 5th September respectively after aggravating an injury.
The Stars' defender sustained an injury before the start of the French season and during their last training ahead of their league match against Montpellier.
When asked if he is disappointed for not being available for the double header he said, “Yes I am, but I know my colleagues will do the nation proud by coming out with impressive results against Swaziland and Brazil”.
The Black Stars play Swaziland in an AFCON qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium with the hope of consolidating their position in the Group. Ghana tops the group with a superior goal difference. The Stars will then depart to London to play Brazil in an international friendly at the Cravens Cottage on September 5.
