President John Mahama on Thursday, January 22, led high-level discussions on the Accra Reset on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, positioning Ghana at the centre of a growing global conversation on reforming international cooperation.
The engagement formed part of broader efforts to project the Accra Reset, a Global South–led initiative aimed at strengthening sovereign capacity and reimagining global governance frameworks in response to contemporary economic, social and geopolitical challenges.

The initiative seeks to promote fairer partnerships and development models that better reflect the realities of countries in the Global South, while advocating for international systems that are more inclusive and responsive.

Present at the event were former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu, and other high-level dignitaries and policymakers drawn from across the world.
