Agro processing firm, Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) has announced the payment of a final dividend of GH¢1.0623 per share to shareholders for the 2021 financial year.
This will however be subject to the Annual General Meeting on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Significantly, all shareholders registered in the books of BOPP at the close of business on Wednesday May 18, 2022, will qualify for the final dividend.
In view of the foregoing, the company in a circular said the ex-dividend date has been set as Monday May 16, 2022.
Consequently, an investor purchasing BOPP shares before this date will be entitled to the final dividend. However, an investor buying BOPP shares on or after Monday, May 16, 2022, will not be entitled to the final dividend.
The final dividend will however be paid from Thursday, July 15th, 2022.
BOPP records 264.3% profit in 2021
BOPP registered a profit of 264.3% profit in 2021 to ¢89.9 million in 2021.
This was a result of significant increase in revenue by 72.9% to ¢214.1 million in 2021 and reduction in cost.
