Over 90 students have benefitted from Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s long-running educational sponsorship programme.
The current 63 paid a farewell visit to him last week as they prepared to begin a new academic year.
The Abetifi MP welcomed the students, who are all enrolled at Achimota School, and used the occasion to encourage them to embrace discipline, hard work, and focus in their studies.
He reminded them that education was not only a path to personal progress but also a responsibility to their families and the nation.
Drawing from his own story, Dr. Acheampong shared how his journey started at Achimota Primary before he moved on to PRESEC, a foundation he credited with shaping his future, where he now stands as a Presidential Aspirant.
“Opportunity is the most powerful gift I can give,” he said. “But it is your determination that makes the difference.”
Currently, 25 of the beneficiaries have completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and are awaiting results, while 63 others are continuing at different levels, including 16 new entrants this semester.
The programme covers tuition, boarding, food, and provisions, ensuring continuity from primary through to senior high school.
Over the past five years, the initiative has grown into one of the most consistent private sponsorship efforts and is seen by observers as a reflection of Dr. Acheampong’s wider vision of rebuilding communities by investing in children.
