Godwin Amable, a businessman, was on Tuesday remanded in prison custody by the Asamankese Circuit Court for possessing narcotic drugs and resisting arrest.
He pleaded guilty to the two counts and would reappear on May 17.
Police Inspector D.T. Nartey, prosecuting, told the court that the Akwatia Police had information that the accused was dealing in drugs.
He said the police were dispatched to effect his arrest but Godwin refused to accompany them to the police station.
Inspector Nartey said after a hefty struggle, he was over powered and arrested.
The prosecutor said a search on him revealed 43 wrappers of whitish substance suspected to be cocaine in his pocket.
