Police in Twifo Praso in the Central region have launched investigations into the murder of a male teenager whose mutilated body - half decomposed - was found near the Praso New market.
The body of the unidentified male teenager believed to have been killed and dumped behind a Cocoa shed has a shirt tied to the neck.
The body was seen only in boxer-shots at the time police arrive at the scene with blood oozing from the ear and nose.
Twifo Praso District Commander, DSP Emmanuel Ofori says the assailants of the young teenager cut the upper part of the back several times with a sharp object.
But he cannot confirm whether some organs of the deceased were missing, except to say they are waiting for the autopsy report to determine the cause of death and perhaps ascertain if any internal organ was removed.
DSP Ofori appealed to general public especially families whose relatives with the same descriptions have not been seen for the past three days to contact his office.
Meanwhile, the body of the teenager has been deposited at the Twifo Praso District Hospital, awaiting autopsy.
