Media officer of Cameroon’s U-17 and U-20 Albert Emoni has applauded CAF for disqualifying Ghana from participating in next year’s African Youth Championship for fielding an over- age player in their qualifiers.
The Ghana Football Association has appealed CAF's decision to disqualify the Black Starlets from the tournament, but Albert Emoni remains optimistic that CAF will squash Ghana’s appeal and declare them winners of the qualifiers.
“If the decision is overturned in favour of Ghana it wouldn’t change the fact that Ghana used an over-age player,” he told to Asempa FM
“CAF may decide otherwise, sometimes issues of this nature are a bit political but I must tell you that Ghana has no chance, this is not new to us so we know what we are talking about.
