Residents of Tiniabu, a farming community in the Nkoranza district are constructing a block of three classrooms and a teacher's accommodation facility for the local primary school.
Mr Paul Baffoe, Unit committee chairman said that the community had acquired a site and moulded 700 blocks to start for the projects.
He said the people would raise special contribution of GH¢10.00 cedis (100,000 cedis) a man and GH¢6.00 cedis (60,000 cedis) a woman, in addition to organizing fund raising rallies to generate additional income in support of the projects.
Mr. Baffoe expressed concern about lack of potable water in the community and appealed to the Member of Parliament for the area to help solve the problem.
He also appealed to the District Assembly to provide the community with some building materials for the classroom and teacher's accommodation projects.
