The Convention People’s Party has announced it will launch its 2012 election campaign and name its running mate in late September and the first week of October.
Speaking to Joy News, the flag-bearer of the party Dr. Abu Sakara Foster said the party will be launching the campaign at the district and regional levels to be climaxed with a national campaign launch.
He added that he is likely to choose a female as a running mate.
“We in our strategy take cognizance of where we are at this stage; what our resources levels are and we go through a series of district and regional launching of the campaign before it culminates into the gargantuan launching when we outdoor our vice presidential candidate,”
He said the party is seriously considering nominating a female candidate to partner him in the 2012 elections.
