Some members in the creative arts industry have formed a coalition that raises money for health professionals treating patients with coronavirus.
Dubbed the Covid-19 Citizens Coalition (CCC), money donated and/or raised is being sent towards purchasing personal protective equipment (PPEs) and other needed items for hospitals.
Taking to his Instagram page, movie producer, Peter Sedufia wrote, “As Ghanaians, we are all committing to devoting time and effort towards the fight. I am glad to be a part of this. So, join me and the rest and let’s do this.”
The coalition, he added, is also willing to support government efforts to rid Ghana of the Covid-19 menace.
“The coalition is calling on all Ghanaians to contribute to help Ghana respond effectively to the threat.”
Actress Ama K Abebrese, also took to her Facebook handle to extend her support for the coalition. She urged Ghanaians to join the coalition to help the country.
“I am glad to be a part of this. So, join me and the rest and let’s do this. We are citizens of Ghana and we are concerned! I have donated. Kindly donate if you can, no amount is too small,” she added.
