After a 107 km undulating race from Techiman to Kumasi, Isaac Sackey held on to the youngest and most prestigious awards which is the White and Yellow jersey he won in the previous stage of the competition. His colleague, Samuel Anim also held on to the Green and blue jersey to complete an exciting stage of cycling. William Nartey of His Majesty Cycling club was however the first to reach the finishing line in Kronom (suburb of Kumasi). He finished with a time of 2:54:53 seconds ahead of Aminu Osman Mohammed of Pacesetters who was second and Egala Moro Yakubu of Die Hard, arriving in third position. At the early stage of the race (40km from Techiman) four riders: Jacob Agaye, Victor Cudjoe, Jerry Alormenu and Solomon Nartey broke away from the rest, but they were not successful in their quest to keep up a paceline lead. They were later swallowed by the bunch. Victor Cudjoe of His Young Stars, Steven Kabu of His Majesty Club and Jerry Alormenu of City Migro managed to win Points at the hot Spots during the race. The closest rider to the prestigious yellow jersey Joseph lomo Taniehu of His Majesty club failed to live up to expectations. The inability of Joseph to finish in the first three impeded his quest to capture the Yellow jersey from Isaac Sackey. Once again a good defensive strategy and tactical discipline from Young stars aided them to maintain the yellow jersey which is the prestigious jersey in the competition.
