Andre Dede Ayew believes he has peaked at the right time to make a return to the Black Stars after a ten month absence from the team.
The 18-year-old last played for the national team during the Africa Cup of Nations on home soil early this year.
The national Under-20 team captain who is on loan at French Ligue 1 side, Lorient, from Olympique Marseille, claims he has come on in leaps and bounds.
" It's not the same things at all. Then I think I was prepared but people were expecting more and forgeting I was just 17- a boy Ghana should count on in the year's to come," Dede told Ghanasoccernet.com
" People were talking a lot but that is not what's important for me. I know what I did right and wrong in the Ghana Black Stars so I think all is part of the experience so I'm going to grow faster than those who come later.
" My confidence has soared since moving to Lorient because the coach likes me and has given me more playing time.
"My call-up is just something I should be happy of and be proud of my hard work.It was difficult for me to deal with but I think it was all part of the growing up process."
