Mr. Mukesh Thakwani, the school proprietor and Director received the THE BIZZ 2014. The event took place at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on September 28, 2014.
Years ago Mr. Thakwani, one of the most successful entrepreneurs of Ghana, who is also the Managing Director of B5 Plus in Tema, envisaged a dream school which could churn out global leaders with multi-faceted talents.
Eventually, the inception of DPS International Ghana in Tema in the year 2010 heralded an era of quality education and learning, aiming for excellence.
In the portals of DPS, students discover their own talents, and get an opportunity to develop them to the fullest.
The futuristic teaching methodology and excellent guidance provided by a highly qualified and dedicated faculty is instrumental in creating an invigorating and competitive ambience for grooming the children to become all-rounders.
Besides being committed to academic excellence, the school makes concerted efforts to develop the personality of the children through various activities – be it creative writing, sports, public speaking, art and craft, drama, martial arts or dance training. All these activities are encapsulated in the curriculum to enhance the confidence of the children who can make great strides towards their goal as torch bearers and trailblazers.
After receiving the award Mr. Mukesh Thakwani said, "It has always been my dream to serve the society through education. I strongly believe that education is a better safeguard of liberty than a standing army. I wanted to give this safeguard of liberty to the younger generation of Ghana.
“The good news has buoyed me up immensely. It is indeed a moment of great pride and privilege for me to receive this esteemed award and it adds to my responsibility as an educator, to do full justice to champion the cause of education in West Africa."
The principal, Mr. David Raj, also expressed his gratification on receiving this prestigious award saying that there is not an iota of doubt in his mind in accomplishing greater success in the years to come with the relentless efforts of the dedicated and conscientious faculty, true to the traditions of the School Motto "Service Before Self".
