Dr. Kwabena Situ, Assurance Partner at Deloitte Ghana has been reappointed to the SME Implementation Group (SMEIG) of the IFRS Foundation.
His second term will run until June 30, 2028.
The reappointment follows the decision taken at the IFRS Foundation Trustees meeting held in London in March 2025.
Dr. Situ’s continued service on the SMEIG is a testament to his expertise and commitment to advancing financial reporting standards for small and medium-sized entities globally.
The SMEIG plays a vital role in supporting the consistent application of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard and advising the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) on amendments and implementation issues.
Dr. Situ’s reappointment underscores Deloitte Ghana’s ongoing contribution to global standard-setting and its dedication to promoting transparency and excellence in financial reporting.
Dr Situ is also the head of Deloitte Academy and a deputy leader of Deloitte Financial Services Industry. He has more than 18 years post qualification experience in all aspects of auditing, accountancy, and consultancy services.
