Doctor/Physician Anaesthetists says they are are still at post despite an announcement of industrial action by the Certified Registered Anaesthetists, a category of Anaesthesia providers.
A statement from the Ghana Anaesthetists Society (GAS), the umbrella body for Doctor/Physician Anaesthetists said the strike action by the Certified Registered Anaesthetists (nurse anaesthetists) does not affect them.
The Certified Registered Anaesthetists announced a withdrawal of their services from January 31, in a statement over the identification of the profession.
In its statement, GAS said the Health Ministry should come out with the job description for nurse anaesthetists so the over two-year feud with their name can be resolved.
