A district magistrate's court at Assin has fined John Hansen, a driver from Assin Foso 1.2 million cedis for picking passengers at an unauthorized place.
Hansen who pleaded guilty will go to prison for four months in default.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Akwasi Asafo-Agyei told the court presided over by Joseph Blay that on January 15, 2007, Hansen who was driving an urvan bus picked passengers at an unauthorized place in the Foso township.
ASP Asafo-Ayei said when the Ghana Private Road Transport Union guards challenged Hansen, he quarrelled with them and drove off but the suspect was arrested four days later.
