Two-time African player of the year Didier Drogba scored a goal and set up another for his club Montreal Impact as they defeated New England Revolution 3-0 in the US Major League Soccer.
The win continues the club's fine run since its forward line has been spearheaded by the legendary Ivoirian marksman, while the defeat snapped New England's six-game winning streak and saw them drop out of top spot.
Montreal took the lead through Costa Rican Johan Venegas in the fifth minute, and Drogba doubled the advantage with a deflected free kick on the hour mark. The former Chelsea star then set up American Dilly Duka with a nice pass to cap the win 15 minutes from time.
The goal takes Drogba's haul to four in four games since joining Montreal. Earlier in the month he scored a hat-trick for the club as they defeated Chicago Fire 4-3 also in the MLS.
Montreal are on 36 points in the Eastern Conference and occupy the sixth and final playoff spot.
They have a good chance of making the postseason as they have games in hand over nearest challengers Orlando and NY City.
