Asante Kotoko's Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, has insisted that the club's ambition of winning both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup remains firmly intact despite their recent inconsistent performances.
Karim Zito's men have failed to win a game since the start of year and there is a growing frustration among the fans.
After a defeat to Swedru All Stars and a goalless draw at home to Berekum Chelsea over the weekend, Kotoko are six points off the top of the league.
Speaking in an interview with Luv FM, Duku acknowledged that the Porcupine Warriors have endured a patchy run of form in recent matches but stressed that such challenges are normal in a competitive season.
According to him, the team is still very much on course to achieve its objectives and players are fully aligned in their pursuit of silverware this campaign.
“Of course, that is what we hope to achieve for this particular season, and I believe that it is still within our capacity and ability to do, to achieve, except that things are becoming difficult for us.
“That is why we are doing all that we could as management to ensure that things are shaped up and then to be able to turn the fortunes of the club, as you are witnessing now.
“I don't think it's the best if you want to win the league, so honestly, we are not satisfied with the performance of the team so far," Sarfo Duku stated.
Kotoko will travel to Bibiani to take on GoldStars on Saturday.
