TECNO, the innovative AI-driven technology brand of Transsion Holdings, is deepening its commitment to African football as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced it as the Global Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the subsequent edition to be in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda in 2027.
This groundbreaking announcement was made by TECNO Vice President, Shiming Jiang and CAF General Secretary, Véron Mosengo-Omba, in Nairobi, Kenya, one of the host countries of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON 2027 edition.

The agreement builds on a strong foundation of partnership between TECNO and CAF, following their successful collaboration during the AFCON 2023 held in Côte d’Ivoire, where TECNO was the only exclusive smartphone sponsor for the event.
Speaking during the event, Vice President of Transsion Holdings, Benjamin Jiang, stated that “This renewed partnership is a testament to the deep trust and shared success we have built with CAF.
"In our previous collaboration, we witnessed how football ignited passion and inspired dreams, and how AI-powered smart technologies became powerful tools to connect and empower millions across Africa.
"That is why this partnership goes beyond the game; it stands as a symbol of ambition and a platform where young people can shine, united by an unstoppable spirit of progress.
"It reflects our shared vision of harnessing AI-driven innovation to shape a brighter future for Africa. This renewed collaboration marks a significant milestone in TECNO’s journey forward.”

CAF General Secretary, Véron Mosengo-Omba also said “The impressive growth and success of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations has resulted in several exciting sponsorship agreements being concluded by CAF with African and international partners. The partnership with TECNO will contribute to the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, which is the biggest sporting event in Africa, continuing to grow and reach new markets and audiences. On behalf of CAF and its 54 Member Associations, we would like to thank TECNO for investing in African football.”
With this renewed Partnership, TECNO is now poised to drive its 'Stop at Nothing' brand promise across Africa.
"This initiative aims to connect, impact, and empower young people across the continent through technology and sports. It serves to constantly remind these young minds of their ability to strive for success and attain greater possibilities as they face life's challenges.
TECNO's elevated position as Official Global Partner and Exclusive Smartphone Partner is set to significantly enhance TECNO's visibility and broaden its connection with millions, utilising expanded media and digital activation rights to engage Africa's vibrant youth, energise the passion for football, and cultivate a shared spirit of daring and progress.

Beyond its prominent partnership role, TECNO will continue to drive its impactful "Dream on the Field Renovation Campaign," launched in 2024 in collaboration with CAF.
This philanthropic initiative aims to transform communities by improving access to quality playing fields, leveraging TECNO's technology to empower African football at its grassroots, foster youth engagement, and reflect its steadfast commitment to boundless achievement
This holistic approach, integrating both grand partnerships and tangible community initiatives, marks a significant milestone that solidifies TECNO's emotional bond with younger generations, reinforcing its leadership across the African continent through its cutting-edge imaging technology, superior product performance, and distinctive design aesthetics.
