Filmmaker/actor Tyler Perry has revealed the man who raised him is not his biological father.
The 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' star always felt his abusive dad Emmitt Perry, Sr. was not his real father - because he was so violent towards his kid, and so, after his mother's death in 2009, Perry took a DNA test with his brother to determine if they were full siblings - and discovered they weren't.
The 44 year old then took a test with Emmitt and it proved the two were not actually related, according to FoxNyc.com.
Perry says, "I love my mother to death, but she lied to me."
The actor is now trying to find his real dad.
Perry has previously talked about his difficult childhood, claiming Emmitt physically abused him for many years.
