Ghana's senior women's team remain the continent's second-best side following the FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking for the third-quarter.
Only two African sides - Nigeria and Ghana - are in the top 50 bracket in the overall ranking with the third-quarter rankings placing the Black Queens at 50th.
The Black Queens, who are preparing for the African Women’s Championship are in second place on the continental ranking table behind rivals, Nigeria.
Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa follow in that order.
The September edition of the world ranking was heavily shaped by many qualifying matches, particularly for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
