Four people are receiving medical attention after four cars collided at the Weija dam area Monday morning.
It is not clear what may have caused the accident, but police have begun investigations into the incident.
The four are said to be responding to treatment at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The incident comes on the heels of two accidents which occurred on Sunday that claimed nearly 26 lives.
Twenty-two people died when two commercial vehicles they were travelling on collided at Akurakumasi near Oda in the Eastern Region. Three survivors are said to be in critical condition.
Four people also died on the spot after a collision between a taxi and a trotro at the Apam junction also on Sunday.
The incidents have highlighted the carnage on the country’s roads, particularly as Christmas approaches.
Greater Accra Regional commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit ACP Julius Avorga has however told Joy News the police will increase its visibility on the country’s roads to avert further accidents.
